2015 awards for the Best Research Event and Museum Education Promoter of the Year.
Jane Meresmaa-Roos received the Museum Rat as Museum Education Promoter of the Year for the educational programme Art Speaks to Everyone: Disabled People in the Art Museum, along with the sculpture programme Tangible Heroes. The 2015 Museum Rat award for the Best Research Event went to the Kumu Art Museum’s autumn conference Shared Practices: The Intertwining of Art Forms in the Culture of Socialist Eastern Europe, which was headed by Anu Allas, and dedicated to post-World War II art in the Eastern European context.

The Cultural Endowment of Estonia recognises two curators at the Art Museum of Estonia
Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Eha Komissarov, for her decades of outstanding curatorial work in the field of Estonian art and museums, and Greta Koppel, for her bold and thorough criticism and analysis of the specifics of the field in the Sirp cultural newspaper, as well as her conscientious work at the Kadriorg Art Museum.

The Estonian Federation of the Blind recognises the Art Museum of Estonia with its Deed of the Year award
The Art Museum of Estonia was recognised for making sculpture exhibitions accessible to visually impaired people.

2014 Museum Keepers of the Year
The title of Museum Keeper of the Year was awarded to Liisa Kaljula, Annika Räim and Helen Volber from the Art Museum of Estonia, who organised a large-scale multidisciplinary art musealization, adding Timo Toots’s installation Soodevahe Museum to the Contemporary Art Collection at the Art Museum of Estonia. The title of the project was The Museum Acquires a Museum.

A 2014 cultural award presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Dr. Sirje Helme, Director of the Art Museum of Estonia
Sirje Helme received a 2014 cultural award for organising the annual conference of the European Museum Forum and the European Museum of the Year Award gala and her long-term work introducing world culture. Only those museums that have received the title of European Museum of the year are eligible to host the annual conferences of the European Museum Forum; the Kumu Art Museum was awarded this title in 2008.

2014 Deed of the Year awarded by the Estonian Federation of People with Physical Disabilities
The board of the Estonian Federation of People with Physical Disabilities (ELIL) named the Art Museum of Estonia as the recipient of the 2014 Deed of the Year award. The Museum received the title of 2013 Promoter of Universal Design, which is awarded for taking people with special needs into account in the planning of public space.

2013 Best Innovator of Foreign Language Instruction
The prize was awarded for the Art Museum of Estonia’s Komm herein language immersion project. The main purpose of this acknowledgement of European language instruction is to recognise and popularise initiatives related to linguistic innovation, the updating of language instruction and the raising of the quality of teaching. Initiatives that innovatively teach foreign languages, and value and introduce other languages and cultures are recognised.

2013 Kristjan Raud Prize
The prize, which is awarded by the Estonian Artists’ Association and the City of Tallinn, was presented to Juta Kivimäe for researching and introducing Estonian sculpture, as well as for her long-term work as the Keeper of the Sculpture Collection at the Art Museum of Estonia and the gallerist at the Vabaduse Gallery from 2007 to 2013.

Conservator of the Year for 2011
The Conservator of the Year is an annual recognition award, which is awarded by the Museum Council in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
In 2011, the title of Conservator of the Year was awarded to Hilkka Hiiop from the Art Museum of Estonia. The recognition was prompted by the exhibition Samson and Delilah. A History of an Italian Painting and the multimedia project Four Paintings Magnified – Tracing Bosch and Bruegel

Special Award for Product Development and Marketing for 2011
awarded by the Museum Council in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
The Special Prize for the Promotion of Museum Shops for 2011 was awarded to Marge Kõiv at the Art Museum of Estonia.

Friend of Tourism 2011
The Enterprise Estonia prize in the museum field.
The Art Museum of Estonia was awarded the title of Friend of Tourism 2011 for its excellent cooperation with tourism organisers.
