Beginning in the 1960s, the Foksal Gallery exhibited Polish radical art and also served as a meeting place. The gallery managed to offer a sanctuary for new experimental art in a difficult political context. Many of the young artists who started at Foksal turned out to be internationally highly recognized artists. The catalogue presents artworks from 1966 to 1989 and introduces thoughts and ideas that influenced Foksal’s adherents all over Eastern Europe.
