Auxiliary Graphic Arts Collection

The Auxiliary Graphic Arts Collection is comprised of about 10,000 items that are of interest to researchers who wish to delve into the creative process of the works. The collection includes sketches, drawing pads, bookplates, 19th-century drawing models, printing plates and blocks. Eduard Wiiralt‘s and Herman Talvik‘s printing plates comprise a substantial part of the collection, and there are also numerous sketches by Baltic-German and Estonian artists. Although most of the auxiliary collection’s Soviet-era prints duplicate the works in the main collection, there are also some interesting works that are not represented in the main collection. The portfolios of some contemporary artists, including Endi Poskovič, Antonio Claudio Carvalho and others who have been active on the international arena, can also be found in this collection.
