    25.05.2012 On Friday, 25 May, Time of Clocks. Historical Clocks from Estonian Collections opens at the Mikkel Museum. Clocks and watches from the Art Museum of Estonia's collection and private collections will be on display. The exhibition provides a survey of historical clock types, as well as the materials, methods and decorative techniques used for making clocks.

  • An exhibition by lighting artists opens at Kumu

    07.06.2012 Two independent lighting art exhibitions, under the joint title Speed of Darkness and Other Stories, will open on Friday, 8 June in the 5th-floor Contemporary Art Gallery of the Kumu Art Museum. Works by Finnish, Latvian and Estonian contemporary artists are represented in the project. Jaakko Niemelä is the curator and author of the concept for Speed of Darkness, an exhibition that closed in Finland in May and has now arrived in Estonia. This is supplemented by Other Stories, an exhibition that interprets the same subject, which was initiated by Eha Komissarov.

    19.06.2012 Starting on Wednesday, 13 June, an installation by the Cologne art group PUPLIK.ORG, entitled Soundbombs, can be seen and heard at the Kumu Art Museum.
