  • Kumu Art Museum opens an exhibition dealing with different layers of meaning in Elo and Friedebert Tuglas’s home garden


    As of Friday, 17 May, the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn, Estonia welcomes visitors to the exhibition Garden Exile: The Tuglas Home Garden Through Tanja Muravskaja’s Camera Lens, which combines a Soviet era photo archive with a contemporary photographic research.

    As of Thursday, May 2, 2019, the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn, Estonia welcomes you to Tommy Cash and Rick Owens’s collaborative exhibition The Pure and the Damned, curated by Kati Ilves. The exhibition will be open to the public from Friday, May 3.

  • Gustav Klucis. Russian Avant-Garde Art in the 1920s–1930s


    On Thursday, 11 April, the Kumu Art Museum will open its exhibition of the work of Gustav Klucis (1895–1938), one of the best-known Russian avant-garde and constructivist artists. This will be the artist’s first personal exhibition in Estonia, covering his whole creative path, employed techniques and theoretical principles.

  • Exhibition Pirosmani: The World of a Lonely Genius at the Mikkel Museum


    Beginning 23 March, an exhibition of paintings by the famous Georgian artist Pirosmani – Niko Pirosmanashvili (1862–1918) – can be seen at the Mikkel Museum. Pirosmani’s exceptional and fascinating works are known throughout the world. He was an artist whose life has become a legend and who is highly regarded as an important influencer of 20th century avant-garde art, a representative of naïve art, a founder of Georgian art and a symbol of the Georgian national identity.

  • Sots Art and the Post-Soviet Aesthetic in the Kumu Art Museum


    On Thursday, 14 March at 6 pm, the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn opens an exhibition dedicated to two original art movements that started in Eastern Europe. The exhibition is entitled Sots Art and Fashion. Conceptual Clothes from Eastern Europe.

  • Gordon Matta-Clark and Anu Vahtra at the Kumu Art Museum


    On Thursday, 21 February at 6 pm, the Kumu Art Museum will open its Great Hall for the joint exhibition of the US artist Gordon Matta-Clark, who became famous for his radical urban spatial practices, and the Estonian artist Anu Vahtra. The exhibition is called Gordon Matta-Clark: Anarchitect. Anu Vahtra: Completion through removal.
