Activities

The Art Museum of Estonia is Estonia’s largest art museum, and its research activities are rooted in the study and interpretation of its own collections.

The wider purpose of the museum’s research work is to study and interpret Estonian art and visual culture in general. The Art Museum of Estonia is one of the leading centres for the research of art and visual culture in Estonia. The research activities culminate in exhibitions, research projects, conferences, lectures and a variety of publications. The Art Museum of Estonia actively collaborates with different research institutions and museums at home and abroad.
