Family Morning will visit the contemporary art exhibition “They Began to Speak”, which explores themes such as the body, the environment, and the Indigenous peoples of the Nordic countries.
At the March Family Morning, we’ll take a close look at the building where so much art can be found and embark on an exciting journey into the hidden places of Kumu!
Inspired by Erki Kasemets’s installation LIFE-FILE, a workshop will be held in the Kumu Atrium in which ordinary milk cartons will be transformed into works of art.
The Niguliste Museum transforms into a magical fairytale land during the holiday season, featuring a spectacular Christmas tree and enchanting unicorns.
A traditional Day of the Dead altar will be exhibited in Kumu’s atrium. The altar is made in collaboration with Mexican artists based in Estonia and the Embassy of Mexico.
In this drop-in workshop, we will take inspiration from a tradition of this holiday by decorating colourful and functional calaveras to celebrate our ancestors.
