Activism School: Kumu Epic Draw
For one night only, Kumu’s Great Hall will become Tallinn’s largest drawing studio!
We invite all artists, drawing enthusiasts, amateurs and beginners to come and draw together! On several stages, six male and female models will be posing. Art supplies, inspiring music, and a welcome drink await you on site.
Kumu Epic Draw is inspired by the retrospective exhibition of feminist artist and activist Anna-Stina Treumund. Her intimate portraits challenged the norms of belonging, self-image, and relations of power. Therefore, special attention is paid to the body as a means of resistance – both in everyday choices and self-expression, as well as collectively in occupying public space.
Drink & Draw organizes free-form drawing sessions in public places and unique environments. Drawing communities are located in Tartu, Pärnu, and Haapsalu.
