Adventus Domini. Chamber Choir Avis Animi, Soloists and Orchestra
“Adventus Domini”, the coming of the Lord, marks the beginning of Advent, the soon-to-arrive holiday season with loved ones and moments of inner peace and silence. In the light of the Shishi Christmas tree, which is presented on the same day, soulful music will be heard in the vaults of St. Nicholas Museum.
The Adventus Domini concert will present the listeners with beautiful Advent music and antiphons by the 11th-century Catholic nun Hildegard von Bingen, Italian composer Ottorino Respighi and the Danish conductor and composer Bo Holten.
Performers Maria Listra (soprano), Tuuri Dede (mezzo-soprano) and Raphael Dicenta (tenor), Chamber Choir Avis Anim (choirmasters Leiu Ryland-Jones and Danny Zhizhong Xie) and an instrumental ensemble assembled for the concert: Mari-Liis Vind (fl), Linda Vood (fl), Ingely Laiv-Järvi (ob), Riivo Kallasmaa (ob), Diogo Andre Muotinho (fg).
The concert will be conducted by Ingrid Mänd.
