Kumu Art Museum

Kumu is the main building of the Art Museum of Estonia, as well as one of the largest and most monumental exhibition venues in the country. The museum provides a survey of the various time periods of Estonian art: from the Academic Style to Modernism, from Soviet Pop Art to contemporary art. The modern architecture of the building is an attraction in its own right.

Kadriorg Art Museum

The Kadriorg Art Museum is the only museum in Estonia dedicated to early European and Russian art. Interpreting the art of old masters is also the focus of its exhibitions and educational programmes. The museum is located in Kadriorg, in the Baroque palace built for the Russian tsar Peter the Great.

“Museum of Obsessions” is a comprehensive solo exhibition of the Estonian artist and writer Enn Põldroos (b. 1933), presenting his works from the late 1950s to the 2020s. As an artist characterised by an adventurous nature, he has constantly changed his artistic style, ranging from the socialist realism demanded at the Stalinist art institute to surrealism. The exhibition explores Põldroos’s art through the images and motifs that have accompanied him throughout his life, and to which he has always returned in one way or another.

The Kumu Art Museum offers you a great opportunity to spend your leisure time in a vibrant artistic space. On the last Sunday of every month, we offer a special drop-in guided tour that will introduce one of our exhibitions. Through our museum mediators, you can gain deeper insight into art and history.

Art Walk at Kumu takes place on the last Sunday of every month at 3 pm. NB! Check the exact schedule because national holidays might affect this!
