POSTPONED! Art Walk. Landscapes of Identity
Drop-in guided tours in English
Wondering where to spend your free time?
Looking for new experiences and entertainment that have lasting impact?
Come and explore the biggest art museum in Estonia!
On the last Sunday of every month, we offer a special English drop-in guided tour by the name of Art Walk that will introduce one of our latest exhibitions.
In March we are exploring the new permanent exhibition “Landscapes of Identity: Estonian Art 1700–1945”. The new permanent exhibition introduces Estonian art in the context of the country’s multinational history. It looks at the entangled nature of Baltic German and Estonian visual culture, the role of art in the young Estonian nation-state in the interwar period, visions of modern life, voices of women artists, the visual culture of the authoritarian era in the late 1930s, art during the Second World War and the shaping of local identity landscapes.
The meeting point is at the museum ticket office.
Tours are with museum admission!
