Kumu Art Museum

Kumu is the main building of the Art Museum of Estonia, as well as one of the largest and most monumental exhibition venues in the country. The museum provides a survey of the various time periods of Estonian art: from the Academic Style to Modernism, from Soviet Pop Art to contemporary art. The modern architecture of the building is an attraction in its own right.

Kumu Art Museum

Art course or workshop

During this two-session course we will design a set of tableware suitable for serving sushi. We will approach the task creatively by looking at different ways to model platters of various shapes and sizes: we will experiment, for example, with folding and incisions.

On Thursdays, April 9 and April 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Jarõna Ilo, the ceramics master at Kumu Studios, has worked as a freelance ceramicist for over twenty years. Her work emphasises both commercial ceramics and more abstract forms and techniques, which the master shares with both experienced and new ceramic lovers.
