Curator tour with Tomi Moisio, curator of the Serlachius Museum (in Finnish)

Be among the first to see the newly opened exhibition “Symphony of Art and Nature. The Serlachius Art Collection” on a Finnish-language tour led by Tomi Moisio, curator of the Serlachius Museum!

Tomi Moisio is an art historian and curator. His research focuses on the mysterious 17th-century master I.S. As curator of the Serlachius Museum, he is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the museum’s collection and makes every exhibited work fascinating and accessible. For the first time, the Gösta Serlachius Art Foundation collection, one of Finland’s richest collections, will be presented in Estonia.

The core of the collection, established by the industrialist Gösta Serlachius, consists of Golden Age of Finnish art, i.e. pieces from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with a focus on the work of Akseli Gallen-Kallela. The collection also includes works by Old Masters from Western Europe, a historical part of the collection, as well as contemporary (Finnish) art, which is the foundation’s mission today.

Participation is free of charge with an annual pass to the Art Museum of Estonia.
