Drop-in Workshop: My Crown
One of the beloved characters of the exhibition Tu and Whozzy is Tu. Tu loves fairy tales and wears a magical crown, which can be seen in the artwork Tu and Fairy Tales.
As part of Kumu’s 20th birthday celebrations, visitors are invited to create their own personalised crowns in a drop-in workshop. Inspiration is drawn from the exhibition Tu and Whozzy. At the beginning of the workshop, the exhibition curators will give a short, child-friendly introduction to the exhibition. Once the crowns are ready, participants are welcome to sit on a large “throne” made of tyres and have their photo taken as a crowned king or queen, prince or princess. A shared Tu and Whozzy photo gallery will grow as families post their photos on Instagram using the hashtags #tujaminakaru or #tuandwhozzy. The open workshop is part of Kumu’s 20th anniversary public programme. Please note: You can join the workshop at any time during the scheduled hours. Making a crown takes approximately 20–30 minutes, making it a perfect creative stop for families visiting the exhibition.
Participation is free of charge with an annual pass to the Art Museum of Estonia.
