Family Morning: 1990s Rhythms
In January, we will explore the Kumu exhibition “The Future is in an Hour” during Family Morning and see artists active in the 1990s and their work. At that time, there was a lot of playfulness, experimentation and movement in art.
During the program we will accept the challenge of being open to experimentation and, for example, move to the rhythms of Mare Tralla’s artwork against the background of her interactive video. We will talk a little about DeStudio and put together a fun collage. In the studio we will create a portrait inspired by the 1990s.
Family Mornings
Kumu Family Mornings is a series for families with children aged 4–8. Monthly on a Sundays (September-May) from 14.00–15.30, Kumu welcomes children and their parents into the world of vivid art.
Each month we will introduce one of our exhibitions and together with children and their parents we will ask questions and discover stories, and meanings hidden behind the art works. In addition, children will have an opportunity to experiment with exciting creative workshops in the studio.
Family Mornings are held in Estonian, Russian and English.
