First Advent and Shishi Christmas Tree Opening Event

The Niguliste Museum, in cooperation with the decoration company Shishi, invites visitors for the ninth time to experience a fairy-tale Christmas season. Christmas at Niguliste has become a long-awaited tradition and marks the beginning of the winter festive period at the museum.

To celebrate Advent, the interior design company Shishi will once again decorate the museum’s Christmas tree. As usual, the theme of the tree will remain a surprise until the first Sunday of Advent.

At noon we will ceremonially switch on the lights on the Christmas tree, accompanied by the singing of the Tallinn French Lyceum’s children’s choir and organ music. On first Advent Sunday entrance to the museum is free.

Programme

12:00 Opening of the Christmas tree
12:15 Concert by the Children’s Choir of the Tallinn French Lyceum
15:00 Advent Sunday with organ music
16:00 Half hour of organ music

A maximum of 280 visitors are allowed in the Niguliste Museum at the same time. Please note that this may result in a queue when entering the museum.
Due to an exceptionally high number of visitors, the Niguliste Museum tower, the second floor of the Small Chapel, and the temporary exhibition “Divines Toletana. Treasures of Toledo Cathedral from the Middle Ages to El Greco” will be closed.

On Sunday, 30 November, the Niguliste Museum will be open until 17.00.

The Christmas season at the Niguliste Museum will last from 30 November 2025 until 7 January 2026.
