09.02.2023 &16.02.2023 17.00–19.00
The instructor is Jarõna Ilo
The course will be held in Estonian, but English translation is possible.
Nerikomi is a Japanese technique for combining coloured clay. During the ceramics course, coloured clay is stacked and cut into thin slices, which are then formed into small Japanese-style plates that are suitable, for instance, for serving sushi. During the second class, the plates are glazed with an appealing glaze under the direction of Jarõna Ilo, the master of the Kumu Ceramic Studio. When employing the Nerikomi technique, the pattern is equally visible on the inside and outside of the object.
Visiting the exhibitions is free on the day of the class!
