Kumu Documentary: Olafur Eliasson: Miracles of Rare Device

Dir John O’Rourke
UK 2019, 60 min
In English

From a gigantic sun in the Turbine Hall (The Weather Project, 2003) to artificial waterfalls viewed from bridges in New York (2008), the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson is renowned for his spectacular installations that reflect on our relationship with nature. In recent years he has increasingly focused on architectural projects, such as the Harpa Reykjavik concert building and the Fjordenhus in Vejle. Now he returns to the Tate Modern. In the lead-up to his exhibition, the documentary offers an overview of his life and work.
