Short tour of the exhibition “teamLab: Impermanent Flowers Floating in a Continuous Sea”
On May 6 at 1 pm a short tour in English will take place at the exhibition “teamLab: Impermanent Flowers Floating in a Continuous Sea”.
In addition, one can notice the dancers from the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet dancing in the exhibition hall from 2 pm.
The art collective teamLab, founded in 2001, is one of the world’s best-known creators of digital art. Their installations are engaging visual spectacles that have transformed the way we think about digital art and have inspired millions of viewers around the world. The works of teamLab fully engage the visitor: this is art without spatial boundaries that surrounds us everywhere and captivates all of our senses.
The three artworks on display at the Kumu Art Museum depict the eternally repeating cycles of nature in the form of continuous waves, flowers that grow and wilt, and flames. The exhibition will engage visitors in a teamLab way: using a mobile app, anyone can light a flame on their phone, or influence the flowers growing on the wall with a wave of a hand. More information about the exhibition is available here.
