Students’ ensemble of the Arsis Handbell School

The roots of handbells go back to 17th-century England, where the first handbell was made 330 years ago. Handbell music in Estonia began in 1993 with the founding of the Arsis Handbell Ensemble. Today, Arsis has one of the world’s largest collections of handbells, several concert groups, and handbell schools in Tallinn and Tartu. Arsis Handbell School is celebrating this year its 25th anniversary. On April 13, 2024, the Estonian Association of Private Hobby Schools awarded the Arsis Handbell School the recongnition “Quality Hobby School 2024”.
