Kumu Art Museum

Kumu is the main building of the Art Museum of Estonia, as well as one of the largest and most monumental exhibition venues in the country. The museum provides a survey of the various time periods of Estonian art: from the Academic Style to Modernism, from Soviet Pop Art to contemporary art. The modern architecture of the building is an attraction in its own right.

Kadriorg Art Museum

The Kadriorg Art Museum is the only museum in Estonia dedicated to early European and Russian art. Interpreting the art of old masters is also the focus of its exhibitions and educational programmes. The museum is located in Kadriorg, in the Baroque palace built for the Russian tsar Peter the Great.

Programme: Bach, Rheinberger, Kõrvits, Grison

Kristel Aer is an organist and a dedicated organ teacher who performes with various choirs, orchestras and renowned soloists. Her concert programmes are always exciting and imaginatively conceived. Kristel Aer has studied organ with Hugo Lepnurm in Estonia, with Ines Maidre at the Sibelius Academy in Finland and furthered her education at Royal Conservatoire in Copenhagen. Since 2007, Aer is the organiser of “Juuru Organ Summer”.

Please notice, the permanents exhibitions and museum is closed. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the event.

In Livonia, just like in the rest of Europe, pilgrimages formed an intrinsic part of medieval life. This exhibition, which provides an overview of the phenomenon, is the first opportunity for the public to see the majority of currently known Estonian and Latvian material artefacts, as well as the textual and artistic legacy, of Livonian pilgrimages.
