Upcycled Jewellery

In the three-part course, inspired by the exhibition The Life and Death of Mr. N by Urmas Lüüs, participants will be able to make accessories of their choice from the materials provided, under the guidance of the jeweller Sille Luiga.

On Thursdays: 06.02, 13.02, 20.02 17.00‒20.00

Making jewellery from found objects is an opportunity to give yourself or a loved one a unique ornament in the form of a brooch, a pair of earrings or some other wearable item. During the course you will learn about jewellery materials, different techniques and practical issues. The materials used can be wood, plastic, paper, stone or metal, but softer materials are easier to modify. Items can be engraved, woven or even shaped into new forms.

Sille Luiga is a jewellery artist fascinated by ambivalence and the absurd in what is considered beautiful, empowering and precious. In jewellery, she leaves room for mistakes and surprises, and appreciates the traces of the process.
