While offering high-quality, educational and exciting events to various target groups, we use all resources optimally: as much as necessary and as little as possible.
Where possible, we avoid single-use (plastic) products and use materials that are environmentally friendly, long-lasting and of high quality or compostable (equipment, name tags, gifts and printed matter). We prefer to disseminate information and content electronically instead of using paper.
We minimise waste and organise waste separation and waste management depending on the type of waste produced during events.
If the format permits, we organise events online and/or offer the opportunity to watch or participate via a video bridge. We offer online solutions for the registration of participants and for feedback on the event.
We inform participants of opportunities to access our events in an environmentally sustainable manner (by using public transport or bicycles).
We provide responsible catering: we prefer food and drinks of Estonian origin, and the menu includes choices for vegetarians and vegans. Instead of bottled water, we offer tap water. We avoid single-use dishes, but if there is a need for such dishes, we use compostable ones.
We reduce food waste: we order food in reasonable amounts and put leftovers in the fridge or pack them to go instead of disposing of them.
We avoid buying cut flowers and give seasonal locally grown plants as gifts or use other presents instead of flowers.
We encourage visitors to return used printed matter/gifts (e.g. by using the box marked “Used programme” placed by the exit of an event).
