Art Walk. Art or Science

Drop-in guided tour in English
The Kumu Art Museum offers you a great opportunity to spend your leisure time in a vibrant artistic space. On the last Sunday of every month, we offer a special drop-in guided tour that will introduce one of our exhibitions. Through our museum mediators, you can gain deeper insight into art and history.
Exchanges between art and science are receiving increasingly more attention. The exhibition “Art or Science” focuses on the interconnections between art and the natural sciences, mainly in the 19th and the early 20th centuries. It examines the interactions between artists and scientists in researching and representing botany and zoology, medicine, climatology, palaeontology etc. The broader goal of the project is to acknowledge the significant role of visual culture not only in conveying scientific ideas but also in creating, shaping and controlling knowledge.
Art Walk at Kumu takes place on the last Sunday of every month at 3 pm. NB! Check the exact schedule because national holidays might affect this!
The meeting point is at the museum ticket office.
Tours are with museum admission!
