Choral music in Niguliste. Joy of singing. Chamber Choir Studium Vocale

Chamber Choir Studium Vocale’s concert “Joy of singing” is dedicated to the XXVIII song festival, which will be held in 2025, and several songs for mixed choirs and select choirs will be performed at this concert.

Chamber choir Studium Vocale was founded in 1999 under the leadership of conductor Tiina Sooba, and this year we already celebrate the choir’s 25th birthday. The concert activity of the chamber choir has been intense and the repertoire is very diverse. During its years of activity, the chamber choir has given concerts in many cities in Europe, participated in international choir festivals and competitions, and has been able to share the stage with several top composers and collectives of classical music. In 2016 Studium Vocale gave a concert in Frankfurt (Germany) with the well-known British vocal ensemble VOCES8, in spring of 2017 the choir participated in the workshop of the world famous English composer John Rutter in London. In November 2019 Studium Vocale performed at the Vienna Konzerthaus (Austria) W. A. Mozart’s Requiem and in the autumn of 2023 participated in Barcelona (Spain) in the most famous contemporary choral music composer Eric Whitacre concert conducted by author himself.
