Designing a Silk Screen Clock Face

The course will be held in Estonian, but English translation is possible.

Make a new ceramic clock for switching to winter time! In the two-part ceramics course, you will make an eye-catching wall clock from a clay slab. In the first class, you will work with clay and silk screen the dial, and in the second class, you will glaze the clock in a colour of your choice under the supervision of Jarõna Ilo, the master of the Kumu ceramics studio. Silkscreen printing is a technique in which the printed image is transferred to a rolled-out clay slab through a printing frame. The clock mechanism is included in the price of the course. Please let us know of any special wishes upon registration.

Instructor: Jarõna Ilo

Course dates: on Thursdays, 15 Oct and 22 Oct, from 17.00 to 19.00

On the days of the course, the participants can visit the exhibitions free of charge.
