Curator’s Tour with Fabio Cavallucci at the exhibition “Borderless Universe in Their Minds”
Join the Italian curator Fabio Cavallucci in the Great Hall of Kumu for an exclusive tour of the new exhibition titled “Borderless Universe in Their Minds: Italian Transavantgarde and Estonian Calm Expressionism”.
Cavallucci will discuss the oeuvre of the two artistic groups, dissect their similarities and contextual differences, and shed light on the processes of preparing the exhibition.

Fabio Cavallucci is an Italian contemporary art critic and curator. He has been the director of several arts institutions (the Galleria Civica, Trento, 2001‒2008; the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw, 2010‒2014; and the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art, Prato 2014‒2017) and has worked with major international artists (for example, Marina Abramovic, Mario Merz, Maurizio Cattelan, Paul McCarthy, Cai Guo-Qiang, Joan Jonas, Santiago Sierra, Suzanne Lacy, Agnes Denes, Rirkrit Tiravanija and Gillian Wearing).
He was the coordinator of Manifesta (2008), the touring European Biennial, the artistic director of the International Sculpture Biennale of Carrara (2010) and the chief curator of the Bi-City Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism of Shenzhen and Hong Kong (2019).
