Framed beauty
The experience programme “Framed beauty” includes a visit to the Mikkel Museum’s permanent exhibition and a creative workshop. The programme is perfect for a group of friends, a birthday party or a team event.
The programme starts with a tour of the permanent exhibition at the Mikkel Museum. You will be introduced to the works of art that belonged to the collection of Johannes Mikkel and hear stories of how they came to be in the collection. Special attention will be paid to the historical picture frames, which Johannes Mikkel greatly appreciated, adapting the frames to his favourite paintings using very ingenious means.
In a creative workshop, participants will be able to design their own personalised passe-partouts, inspired by the large frames that adorn the paintings in the Mikkel Museum.
The workshop does not require any previous experience in arts or crafts.
