Lars Nylander’s tour on the exhibition Michel Sittow in the North?

Join a guided tour in Swedish of the exhibition Michel Sittow in the North? Altarpieces on Dialogue led by Lars Nylander, an art historian and curator at the Hälsingland Museum. Together with Merike Kurisoo, Greta Koppel and Jan Friedrich Richter, he curated the exhibition. Lars Nylander will introduce the exhibition, as well as focusing on the unique medieval heritage of Bollnäs Church and the Hälsingland county.

Lars Nylander is an art historian who has worked on medieval art in northern Sweden as well as the cultural heritage of the later periods. He has written several books on the churches and chapels of Hälsingland and on the history of the cities of Hälsingland. He is currently completing her doctoral thesis on 18th-19th century paintings in Hälsingland.

On the first Saturday in May, members of the international curatorial team of the exhibition Michel Sittow in the North? will present the display in their native languages. Greta Koppel and Merike Kurisoo will present the exhibition in Estonian, Jan Friedrich Richter in German and Lars Nylander in Swedish. An art and craft workshop will be open to children and families, and the day will end with organ music at 16:00.
