Summer classics in Kadriorg. Hortus Musicus

Concert series “Summer classics in Kadriorg”
“Euro hits over centuries”
Hortus Musicus

Artistic director: Andres Mustonen
Programme: Popular music from era of Middle Ages and Baroque

We mistakenly think that the lack of fast means of communication and transportation isolated the different regions of Europe couple of centuries ago.
Already then the works of the most famous composers spread across state borders and could be found in numerous collections and manuscripts all over the continent. The music was known and performed from Lisbon to Uppsala, from Prague to London – just like today.
Early music consort Hortus Musicus was founded by its artistic director and conductor Andres Mustonen in 1972. Hortus Musicus is the oldest continuously working ensemble in its field in Eastern Europe and one of the few of such longevity in the world.

Thu, 2 July 2 at 7 pm Kadriorg Palace Flower Garden (in case of rain, concert takes place in Kadriorg Palace Hall)
