The Adamson-Eric Collection contains the oeuvre of Adamson-Eric (1902–1968), one of the most multifaceted artists in the history of Estonian art. The more than 1,500 works of art in the collection provide an excellent overview of the artist’s whole creative path from 1924 to 1968. The collection includes paintings and applied art, design textiles, ceramics, porcelain, decorative leatherwork, furniture, jewellery and metalwork.
The collection was founded by the generous donation of the artist’s widow, the textile artist Mari Adamson, to the Art Museum of Estonia in 1983. Later, the collection was extended via purchases and other donations.
