Evening with music and art “España blanca y negra”

The programme is a little taste of Spain. It describes the different dances and traditions of Spain united by a common flavour and texture. This music has a lot of variations and differences, because the programme includes different composers and is touching different aspects of the Spanish culture, but at the same time, all of it has the similar taste, textures, harmonies, rhythms… in resume, what we know as the “Spanish music”.

String ensemble “Revelia” Artistic director Eladio Aguilar Concertmaster Toomas Hendrik Ellervee
Concert will include also short lectures by art historians and curators of the exhibition: Carlos Alonso Pérez-Fajardo (in English) Aleksandra Murre (in Estonian)

The exhibition „España Blanca y Negra. Vision of Spain, from Fortuny to Picasso” is dedicated to the depiction of Spain and includes romantic views of Spain, as well as masterpieces by the grand masters of Modernism. Buoyant and sunny, or dark and tragic, the “whiteness” and “blackness” of the quintessence of Spain are revealed through magnificent works of art.
